Madrona Shellfish Ltd. is located on Nanaimo Island. We focus on the production, harvest, processing, and shipment of oysters and clams. To assist with our growing business, we are looking for a Permanent Full-time Oyster Farmer.
We offer:
C$36.75/hr (30-40hrs/wk) with 4% paid vacation.

Employment requirements:
- At least 1 year of work experience in related fields.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance to maintain the operation of the business.
- Selection and maintenance of shellfish (oysters) cultivation.
- Preparation of the site for cultivation (Flupsy – Floating Upweller System).
- Collect and record growth and production data of oysters.
- Monitor and maintain optimum conditions and environment for raising oysters.
- Conduct periodic examination to identify disease within the Flupsy and prevent infection.
- Operation and maintenance of all equipment.
- Picking oysters.
- May train other new staffs.
